#Today in honor of #BlackHistoryMonth a pic of astronaut Mae Jemison's on STS-47. On it she became the 1st African-American woman in space.

 According to Wikipedia, She was born in October 7, 1956 and She became the first African-American woman to travel in space when she went into orbit aboard the Space Shuttle Endeavor on September 12, 1992.
